RELEASE OF THE WEEK: Stones Collectors Album ‘Exile On Main St’ at UK Album Charts No. 1

For the first time in 16 years, the Rolling Stones top the U.K. album chart, after their  reissued 1972 album “Exile On Main St“ which is a first class collectors edition.

Being the 10^th Studio Album, the original was released as a double LP in 1972, covering many different genres such as rock & roll, blues, soul, calypso and country music which made it regarded a masterpiece ever since. The remastered version was released on May 17^th with ten brand new, unreleased tracks on it as well as a deluxe collectors packaging. It climbed to No 1 of UK Top 75 within a few days, just like back in the day.

The limited Super Deluxe Edition also includes vinyl and a dvd with material of the Stones Documentary ‘Stones in Exile’, which was shot by famous Photographer Robert Frank. It also contains a 60 page hardcover book with interviews and a postcard set with photographs by Frank so it comes as must-have collectors package for every Stones’ fan.

Rolling Stone’s guitarist Ronnie Wood even has his own Radio Show on Absolute Classic Rock Radio every Friday from 6 pm where he’s playing some of his lifelong favourite songs as well as new songs that excite him right now.
