Hank Williams, the late country music icon, was recently awarded a posthumous Pulitzer Prize Board ,for his lifetime achievement as a musician. Williams set the country music standard with his music, including songs such as, “Your Cheatin’ Heart,” “Cold Cold Heart,” “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry” and “Jambalaya.” He was born as Hiram King “Hank” Williams in Mount Olive, Alabama, and is said to be a widely influental country musician and has had a ‘pivotal role in transforming country music into a major musical and cultural force’.
His evergreens can be heard onyour Streamium on ABC Country, a Country Radio Station from Australia that covers modern country as well as all the hits from back in the day.
