When it comes to digital music, fairer sex takes the lead

We know that men and women are different in more ways than one. And now the amount of digital music they both listen to, differentiates them further. According to a recent Nielsen NetView data, reported by Adweek, women are more ravenously visiting music sites for news or listening as compared to men. As reported from New York by Kenneth Hein, women comprised 56.1 percent of traffic on music sites in August this year. Apart from this, these music sites saw 42.5 million unique female visitors in the month of September.  And it is not the 18 years olds who are spending more time on these internet music sites. About a third of visitors on these sites are reported to be women between the age group of 35-60. Interestingly, the 35-49 age group in women is the largest one to throng to internet for their favorite music. In the month of August, with 14.5 million women visiting these sites, this age group contributed to 19.2% of the total visitors.

So now you know that a network music player is sure to please her on her next birthday !
