STATION OF THE WEEK: 60s music station ‘All Time Oldies’
Monday, May 24th, 2010
This is a station dedicated to the good old 60s. If you feel like a bit of Elvis, the Rolling Stones or even the Doors, this is the right station for you. All Time Oldies radio has really good shows on Doo-Wop, the Beatles and Rock n Roll.
This era does not just stand for good music, it is also known as a time of counterculture and social revolution that happened towards the end of the decade, it is also known for political changes. Newly elected President John F. Kennedy took office in 1961. The same year the construction of the Berlin Wall started. Martin Luther King Jr. held his ‘I have a dream’ speech in Washington D.C. in 1963 and the famous revolutionary Ernesto “Che” Guevara from Argentina travelled to Africa and then Bolivia in his campaigning to spread worldwide revolution.
Those were exciting times and if you’d like to reminisce a little, just search for all time oldies on your STREAMIUM.
