Scorpions new album and World Tour

Having already sold over 100 million records, multiple gold and platinum albums, German Metal Band THE SCORPIONS performed to over 150,000 spectators on the last big South America tour, sold out stadiums in Greece last summer, jam-packed venues in New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo and Mumbai. Their final album ‘Sting in the Tail’ is a huge success already and the band is going to immortalize their names and handprints into the Hollywood RockWalk on April 6th.

 The World Tour 2010 / 2011 is starting on April 10th and it is their final tour before ending a 20 year career. Simply Red to start final world tour called ‘Farewell’

Mick Hucknalls Band Simply Red is starting their last & final tour in Brazil on April 16 and then cover all of Latin America, Mexico, United Kingdom, Italy, Denmark, Germany, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxemburg and Austria. The very last show is happening in the O2 Arena in London on December 18th.

Smooth Fm UK is a broadcasting station that plays – as the name says- a lot of smooth music and they love doing features on Simply Red. They have done various Interviews with Mick Hucknall over the years and they will surely do one accompanying the tour, so watch this space. You can do so by tuning into Smooth FM on your Streamium. Premier league action on your Streamium !

Talksport is a sports-only broadcasting station giving really good interviews and podcasts with trainers and players about all the Football-related topics. For all those Football fanatics amongst you, this could be your 24-7 stream on your Streamium. TalkSport and Absolute Radio, along with BBC  have secured the rights to broadcast Premier League football commentary from next season. The three-year-deal starts in August and will be covered on Streamium.

 To give the action a twist, Absolute Radio (which we introduced to you a few weeks ago) will be bringing listeners live action from Barclays Premier League football matches every Saturday afternoon and here’s the really clever bit…

Listeners will be given the choice between two shows on Absolute Radio on a Saturday afternoon, the new Barclays Premier League commentary or Rock n Roll Football – a mix of music and the scores as the station splits its frequency putting listeners in control of what they listen to. Sounds like a cool, new approach to Football Broadcasting !

Bob Dylan on Streamium

March 11 – 31st Bob Dylan will be touring through the whole of Japan and finalize these dates with a concert in Seoul, South Korea. He has been a major figure of popular music for five decades now and has always celebrated diversity: his musical style ranges from folk, blues and country to gospel, rock and roll and rockabilly and folk music, even jazz and swing cannot be ruled out.

Return of The Gorillaz

The return of a comic band! The Gorillaz are back. Damon Albarn, the singer of Blur founded the Dub and Hip-Hop band in 1998 and won a Grammy with ‘feel good inc’ in 2006 and five MTV Awards. The first release of their new album ‘Plastic Beach’ just came out this week. The track is called ‘Stylo’ and was recorded with no less than Mr. Mos Def, Hip Hop legend, and Bobby Womack of 80’s pop group Womack and Womack. To carry on with name dropping, ‘Plastic Beach’ is featured by Lou Reed, Snoop Dogg and De La Soul, just to mention a few. Release Date is March 8th. This could be a candidate for ‘Best Releases of 2010′.
